WELCOME!!

The aim of The Victoria Players is to promote good, high quality, LIVE entertainment, locally, for the people of Fordingbridge and its surrounding villages.

History:

Formed in 1970 and previously known as St. Mary's Players, the Victoria Players changed its name after moving from its former home in the Church Hall of St. Mary's to the refurbished Victoria Rooms, just over the bridge in Fordingbridge. In 2002 we moved again into The Drama Studio at the Burgate School & Sixth Form Centre and we now have a fantastic modern facility to call home.

For over 30 years the Society has endeavoured to bring live theatre of the highest standard to the people of Fordingbridge and it's surrounding villages. The Society has its own constitution and is run by a Committee of members with an annual AGM and published accounts.

Non-profit-making, the Victoria Players uses income from shows to cover regular overheads (such as rent, insurance, etc) and for the purposes of upgrading existing facilities and equipment and subsidising the Youth Theatre and any other less commercial shows worthy of support.

New Members:

We are always keen to welcome new members!!   Whether you want to act, produce, direct, build and paint scenery, help back-stage or front-of-house, get involved with sound and/or lighting, or make tea(!), there is a niche for you here!!
